a fit for everyone
A contact lens fitting and evaluation is important for your optometrist to ensure your cornea is healthy and that your eyes are getting enough oxygen. The FDA considers contact lenses a medical device because it is essentially a piece of plastic that touches soft issue (the cornea). Thus, ocular complications such as dryness, redness, irritation, and even infections can arise. Your eye doctor’s job is to evaluate and prevent these complications from arising each year. If your doctor observes an impending issue that can be prevented by eye drops or refitting in to a different brand, they are happy to discuss those options with you.
first time wearers
If it is your first time in contact lenses, we are happy to provide free training on insertion and removal. You will receive individualized attention during your contact lens training, with instructions on contact lens care and maintenance. You will “test drive” your new contact lenses for about a week. In addition, you will receive a complimentary follow-up to ensure your eyes are healthy from wearing your contacts.

We get the newest brands of contacts often before they are rolled out nationally. Since we stock a wide variety of contact lenses, we will often have your prescription ready for same-day trial. If a follow-up visit is needed, it is always complimentary within 90 days. Contact lens prescriptions will be tailored to your visual needs and can include:

Monovision contact lenses
Rigid gas permeable lenses
Contact lenses for patients with corneal conditions, such as keratoconus
Astigmatism fitting (including daily disposable astigmatism contacts)
