Dry eyes is one of the most common and oftentimes frustrating conditions to experience.
Some symptoms of dry eyes can be irritated, gritty, scratchy, or burning eyes; a feeling of something in your eyes; excess watering; and blurred vision. If you wear contact lenses, you may find them moving around often or feeling uncomfortable. Advanced dry eyes may damage the front surface of the eye and impair vision.

Medications (antihistamines, blood pressure medications, antidepressants, etc.)
Medical conditions (Sjogren's, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.)
Contact Lens wear and history of LASIK

Dr. Vu will evaluate and pinpoint the cause of your dry eyes to determine the most effective treatment plan. Dry eyes are often related to allergies or other inflammatory processes occurring at the same time. Dr. Vu will perform a thorough evaluation to determine the best course of action in each case. Dr. Vu’s professional methods will improve tear quality and healthy oil secretion by clearing gland obstructions caused by debris, skin cells, sweat, and makeup. If more aggressive treatment plans such as punctal plugs or prescription eye drops are needed, Dr. Vu will discuss what to expect and perform all follow up care appropriately.
